INTRODUCTION
MSME
Development Institute (Formerly Small Industries Service Institute),
J&K was established in the year 1958 at Srinagar. The geographical
jurisdiction of this Institute has spread over 22 districts of the
state. The name of the districts located in three regional of Jammu
, Srinagar & Ladakh of the state of J&K are as follow :
Anantnag, Bandipora, Baramulla, Budgam,
Doda, Ganderbal, Jammu, Kargil, Kathua, Kishtwar, Kulgam, Kupwara,
Leh, Poonch, Pulwama, Rajouri, Ramban, Reasi, Samba, Shopian,
Srinagar and Udhampur.
MSME Development Institute, J&K is extending managerial and
economic consultancy services for the development of Micro, Small &
Medium Enterprises and provides comprehensive range of industrial
extension services ranging from identification of
suitable line of production to marketing of the product. Facilities
for Consultancy services are being provided in the fields of
Mechanical, Metallurgy, Electrical, Leather & Footwear, Food, Glass
& Ceramic, Chemical and Biotechnology. While Industrial Management
and Economic Investigation services is also available with the
institute. The MSME-DI, J&K renders Services to Entrepreneurs,
their Managers, supervisors & staff for the development of Existing
